**Sales Director – Life Sciences**

* Location: the United States (Remote)
* Salary: Negotiable

**Position Overview**

* Lead global commercial strategy and execution for a fast-growing life sciences company, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and team development across key international markets. This is a senior executive role reporting directly to the VP of Global Sales, with full P&L accountability for assigned regions and a mandate to build a high- performance, scalable sales organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the global sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives, identifying high-potential markets and prioritizing geographic expansion based on market intelligence and competitive dynamics.
* Revenue & P&L Ownership: Directly own and deliver annual sales targets, gross margin targets, and profitability metrics across international territories; forecast accurately and adjust strategy in real time based on performance data.
* Team Building & Development: Recruit, lead, mentor, and retain a high-caliber global sales team of 20+ direct and indirect reports; establish performance metrics, incentive structures, and career development pathways.
* Key Account & Channel Management: Cultivate strategic relationships with top-tier global accounts (pharma, biotech, CROs, hospitals) and optimize distribution channels including distributors, partners, and direct sales forces.
* Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure commercial readiness of new products, competitive positioning, and seamless customer onboarding.
* Market Intelligence & Commercial Insight: Leverage data analytics to identify emerging trends, unmet customer needs, and competitive threats; translate insights into actionable sales tactics and product positioning.
* Commercial Excellence: Implement best-in-class sales processes, CRM governance, and sales enablement tools to drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability across all international operations.

**Qualifications**

* Education: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in the life sciences, biotech, or medical devices industry.
* Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar international sales portfolios with P&L responsibility.
* Demonstrated success in building and leading global, cross- cultural sales teams across EMEA, APAC, and/or Americas.
* Exceptional strategic thinking and commercial acumen with ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
* Mastery of complex B2B sales cycles in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, EMA compliance).
* Fluency in English as a business language; additional European or Asian language skills a strong asset.
* Expertise in CRM systems (Salesforce, SAP), sales analytics platforms, and digital sales tools.
* High integrity, resilience, and executive presence.
* Proven ability to influence without authority across global functions.
* Passion for scientific innovation and improving patient outcomes.
